Ali Hutton & Laura-Beth Salter’s new musical project, From The Ground unites two forces of the trad music scene.
Cinematic, contemporary and captivating, whilst still drawing from traditional roots, From the Ground is an ode to nature and its infinite power to heal. It carries an urgent message for its listeners – we must cherish our planet – and celebrates how connecting with our natural environment can benefit our mental health.
About
Laura-Beth (Kinnaris Quintet, The Shee) and Ali (Ross & Ali, Treacherous Orchestra) were drawn together in mutual admiration of their musical talents and by a shared passion for using music to draw attention to important environmental and social issues
After launching their debut gig with 7 piece band at a headline show at Celtic Connections 2025, Ali and Laura-Beth are now taking their new music to audiences all over the UK with the option of a smaller line-up to enable them to visit intimate venues.
